Product Description

A horizontal fire pump is a specialized water pump for fire protection systems, which provides sufficient water flow and pressure to extinguish fires when a fire breaks out.

Structural Features
 
- Installation Method: The main shaft is parallel to the ground, adopting a horizontal installation. The main body is relatively low and flat, making it suitable for installation in spaces with limited room such as underground garages and basements.

- Inlet and Outlet Design: Both the suction port and discharge port of the pump are horizontal and have the same caliber size, facilitating pipeline connection. For multi-stage pumps, the suction and discharge ports can also be installed in the same direction or at different angles (90°, 180°, 270°, etc.) to meet various connection scenarios.

- Internal Structure: It usually consists of two parts: the motor and the pump. For single-stage single-suction fire pumps, the pump and the motor share the same axis. For multi-stage segmented fire pumps, the pump and the motor are connected by a coupling, forming an integral rigid connection. The pump body structure includes components such as the pump body, impeller, pump cover, and mechanical seal.

Performance Characteristics
 
- Wide Range of Flow and Pressure: The flow rate generally ranges from 5 to 45 L/S, and the pressure ranges from 0.18 to 2.61 Mpa. The number of pump stages can be increased or decreased as required, and the outer diameter of the impeller can be trimmed to meet different flow and pressure demands.

- High Efficiency: It adopts an energy-saving design. For instance, some horizontal multi-stage fire pumps use a high-speed structure. Compared with medium-speed fire pump units, they have fewer stages, reduced unit length and weight, and thus improved efficiency.

- Stable Operation: Low-noise sealed bearings are used. The components have high concentricity, and the impeller features good dynamic balance, ensuring vibration-free operation with low noise. Additionally, the seal is reliable without leakage.
